How to Install AzamanChat on Your Phone and Turn On Notifications
AzamanChat works in your browser, but installing it to your home screen gives a better experience: a proper icon, full screen and notifications.
On Android with Chrome
Open the AzamanChat website in Chrome. Tap the three dots at the top right, then choose Add to Home screen or Install app. Confirm, and the icon appears with your other apps.
On iPhone with Safari
Open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then choose Add to Home Screen. Open AzamanChat from the new icon. Notifications on iPhone only work from the home screen icon.
Turn on notifications
Log in, open Settings, find Notifications and tap Turn on. Allow notifications when your phone asks. You can then tap Test to check that it works.
If notifications do not arrive
Check that notifications are allowed for the app in your phone settings. On some phones, set battery use for Chrome or AzamanChat to Unrestricted so the system does not stop it in the background. Make sure Do Not Disturb is off.
Keep the app updated
Close and reopen the app from time to time so it can load the newest version.
