How to Make a Strong Password You Can Actually Remember

Nov 4, 2026 · AzamanChat team

Your password is the key to your chats, photos and contacts. A weak one lets strangers walk in. A strong one takes only a little effort.

Make it long

Length matters more than tricks. Aim for at least 12 characters. A short phrase made of four or five random words, like a sentence only you would think of, is long and easy to remember.

Avoid the obvious

Do not use your name, birthday, phone number, football club or simple patterns like 123456 and password. These are the first things attackers try.

Use a different password for every important account

If you use the same password everywhere, one leaked website can open all your accounts. At least make sure your email and your chat app have their own passwords.

Use a password manager if you can

A password manager stores strong passwords for you so you only remember one. Many phones already have one built in.

Never share it

No real support team will ask for your password. If someone does, it is a scam. Also never read out codes sent to your phone.

Change it when something feels wrong

If you logged in on a shared phone, got a strange message or see activity you do not recognise, change your password straight away and log out of other devices.
